Welcome to Cesar.chat ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Chrome extension and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the Service.

Information You Provide

• Account registration information (name, email address)
• LinkedIn account connection details necessary for the Service to function
• Payment and billing information when you subscribe to a paid plan
• Communications you send to us (support requests, feedback)

• Usage data (features used, actions taken within the extension)
• Device and browser information
• Log data and analytics

LinkedIn Data

Our Service interacts with LinkedIn to provide enhanced messaging capabilities. We may process LinkedIn message content, contact information, and conversation metadata solely to deliver the Service's functionality. We do not sell or share this data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Process transactions and manage your subscription
• Improve and personalize your experience
• Communicate with you about updates, support, and promotions
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or fraud
• Comply with legal obligations

The uses listed above apply to Cesar.chat account, LinkedIn-related, and Service usage data. They do not expand how we may use Google user data obtained through Google APIs. Use of Google user data is limited as described in Section 5.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: With trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the Service (e.g., hosting, analytics, payment processing)
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, regulation, or legal process
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
• With Your Consent: When you have given us explicit permission to share your data

We do not sell, rent, or transfer Google user data obtained via Google APIs to third parties for their advertising, analytics, or other independent purposes. Sharing of Google user data is limited to what is necessary to operate the Google Sheets export feature you request, or as required by law, consistent with the Google API Services User Data Policy and Limited Use requirements.

Cesar.chat may request access to Google APIs (including Google Sheets and Google Drive file access) so you can optionally export selected LinkedIn conversations and contacts into a spreadsheet in your own Google account.

Google user data obtained via Google APIs is used only to provide or improve user-facing features of Cesar.chat that are prominent in the requesting application's user interface — specifically, connecting Google Sheets and exporting/updating spreadsheet rows you initiate. We do not use Google user data for advertising, serving ads, creditworthiness determinations, or any unrelated purposes.

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Affirmative Limited Use statement: the use of raw or derived user data received from Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google Workspace or Photos API user data to create, train, or improve generalized or foundational AI/ML models, and we do not transfer such Google user data to third-party AI services for model training or secondary purposes.

Google Sheets access is used only for user-initiated export and updates to spreadsheets you connect or create. Separately, Cesar.chat may use third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI) for LinkedIn-related product features; that processing does not use Google Sheets or other Google Workspace API user data.

Cesar.chat offers an optional HubSpot CRM integration. You choose whether to connect your HubSpot account. When you do, we request OAuth access so Cesar.chat can sync LinkedIn-related CRM data with HubSpot on your behalf.

Depending on the features you enable, we may:

• Create or update HubSpot contacts linked to LinkedIn profiles
• Read and write contact properties according to field mappings you configure
• Sync notes and related conversation context you choose to push
• Store encrypted HubSpot OAuth tokens and contact-link metadata so the integration can keep working until you disconnect it

HubSpot data is used solely to provide the integration you requested. We do not sell HubSpot customer data, and we do not use HubSpot data to train generalized or foundational AI/ML models. You can disconnect HubSpot at any time from Cesar.chat integrations settings; disconnecting stops further sync and we handle stored connection credentials in accordance with our retention practices.

Use of HubSpot is also subject to HubSpot's Privacy Policy.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption, secure servers, and regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When your data is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymize it.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access and receive a copy of your personal data
• Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Object to or restrict the processing of your data
• Data portability
• Withdraw consent at any time

We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit.

The Service is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
